I’m Julie Biens — welcome!
I’m a singer-songwriter based in Brooklyn, blending folk-rock with a little country, a little pop, and a lot of heart. I came back to singing—and started writing songs—for the first time in decades a little after I turned 50! What began as a quiet creative itch turned into something much bigger: a way back to joy, purpose, and a part of myself I thought I’d left behind
I love telling stories. And after a lot of living, I’ve got plenty to draw from. My songs are honest and emotional, sometimes a little raw, sometimes a little funny. I might make you cry. I might make you laugh. All the feels are welcome here.
